The game has such an eerie environment. The animations in each scene adds so much dynamics to the player's eyes. At the same time it doesn't distract the player from the moving monsters or targets. I really dig the character drawings, they look cute and creepy at the same time. I just hope that in the second scene, there is more challenge, as in the player needs to destroy some incoming enemies just like the first scene.

I was able to play an early version of this game and it's interesting to see how the development has progressed. When I had first play-tested the game the art of the game was much more abstract and conceptual. I think that with this version, the story is clearer due to the details added to the background and the characters. I think that the game mechanics being used to help show the narrative is very clever! I think you could add more elements to help make the narrative more clear. The feeling created by the second character is very unique and reminds me of the burden felt during escort missions. I think the atmosphere of this game and the concept are very strong and if you choose to add to this game in the future, then adding to the narrative would elevate it.

the aesthetics work out super well! The animated backgrounds and enemies make for a surrealist environment that feels alive. As for gameplay, I wish the projectiles would de-spawn a bit quicker or on impact, by shooting a lot I found that the level can get filled with your projectiles and it becomes difficult to move around. Another plus to having the projectiles disappear on impact is to give the player a sense that the hit is acknowledged, and the enemy will eventually die. I was in a situation where I could not tell if I was hitting the right thing or not because there is some missing feedback. The story in combination with the style you used has a lot of potential though!

The artwork is superb, and the navigation on the maps is very interesting. The other figure that clings by your side offers an interesting navigational challenge, which I really appreciate. It feels like it gels well with the overall game- the person in black feels like a burden that is dragging you down as you try to navigate a confusing and hostile world. This game’s open maps do remind me slightly of Yuumei Nikki, but nonetheless feels fresh and original. The sound design also sets a wonderful atmosphere! Incredible game.
